George Weigel is the distinguished scholar in residence at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C., author of several books on religion, politics, and culture, including "Polemics" (Yale University Press); "The Great Schism: The Church and the West Since 1054" (Harper-Collins); "The End of the Liturgical Movement" (Yale University Press); and "The Ethics of the Fathers: A Study of the Thought of St. Basil and St. Gregory of Nyssa" (Harvard University Press).
